IFR Renewal

For Canadian IFR-rated pilots, Aerosolutions can provide one-stop shopping to renew your instrument rating.  Using the TC-approved Level 5 Mechtronix Trainer, we provide pilots with a cost-effective and timely way to renew your instrument rating, usually all in one day.  It consists of a full briefing, approximately 2 hours in the Mechtronix simulator with an instructor who is a professional airline pilot or retired TC Inspector, and a full debriefing and preparation for the Instrument Flight Test.  It also includes the provision of a TC-approved Pilot Examiner and the 1.5 hours of simulator time required to conduct the instrument flight test (IFT).

Our qualified instructors and the use of the Mechtronix simulator ensures the highest quality of IFR instruction and eliminates cancelations or postponements due to bad weather.  Documents used during the simulator sessions, such as SOPs, QRHs and checklists, can be emailed to clients ahead of time to assist in preparation and reduce the time required for students to feel comfortable in the King Air simulator.

If the instructor feels that you require further training to meet the standard before the IFT, additional training can be provided at additional cost at your discretion.

Price:  $1,800CAD plus 13% HST per student for the basic course as described above.  $400.00CAD/hour plus 13% HST for additional simulator training if desired.
